he broadcast series High School of the Dead (2010) opens on an ordinary day at Fujima Academy in Tokyo--until hordes of zombies begin attacking people. Anyone who's bitten by them is either devoured or turned into a zombie. Sophomore Takashi Komuro, four of his friends, and Ms. Shizuka, the overendowed school nurse, fight their way out of the school and struggle to survive in a world gone mad. Using swords, baseball bats, and an arsenal of high-tech weapons and vehicles, the teenagers beat, blast, and flatten their grisly foes. The cause of the zombie plague is just one of the many important plot points that's never explained, but director Tetsuro Araki isn't really interested in presenting a coherent story. He keeps the camera looking up the girls' skirts, down their blouses, or at blank walls that get splattered with blood. In one shot certain to go down in fan-service history, he follows a projectile over one girl's breasts and under another's skirt--in slow motion. Hormonal adolescent boys who enjoy the juxtaposition of jiggle shots and blood baths are the obvious audience for High School of the Dead; other viewers should approach it with caution. -Charles Solomon

When reading a synopsis for the series, one is struck by the weirdness of the concept. Junpei, the main character, is allergic to cats. By accident, he breaks the local cat-deity statue at a shrine, cursing him. Suddenly, he can understand what cats are saying, and must do 100 nice things for cats or he will turn into one himself. Being allergic, turning into a cat would kill him.

But that isn't really what the show is about. It is a slice of life anime heavy on the romantic comedy, following Junpei in his quest to become closer to his crush, Mizuno. As in most anime of this genre, complications are abound and more than one girl besides Mizuno falls for Junpei, setting up some very amusing situations. Sure, the concept has been done to death (besides the cats) and these types of anime are a dime a dozen. But that doesn't stop this show from being very, very funny.

Samurai Harem,AKA Asu No Yoichi, is a well drawn and lively comedy about a 17-year-old only son of a single samurai sword master father who raised him alone in the mountains away from others,epecially girls. After the father decides the son needs more training than he is capable of giving he sends him to a dojo run by four sisters,the oldest being,of course,17 years of age. There are no parents as they "went on a long journey". Our hero is a bit dense conserning life outside of the mountains and cuts a path of distrbances in the city on his way to the dojo. He is also "completely innocent" regarding girls but seems to get at least one nose bleed per episode...along with at least one sound thrashing at the hands of the oldest sister. He is not a player and this is not a sex romp and there is no,repeat,no fan service or nudity.While all the sisters grow to like him,only one harbors emotional feelings and another,the oldest, seems to be jealous of him whenever he is to close to other girls. He never seems to "get a clue" as he is living by the rules of a samurai, doing things we would probably call,in our world,"gentlemanly" although he seems to have his hands full of breasts or his head up a skirt far more times than one would think was "coincidental", each incident bringing swift reproachment (beatings within an inch of his life) by the oldest sister,regardless how innocent.

Nyan Koi: Complete One of the best Harem-fan service comedies arrives in American territory, KANOKON is not your typical "pervy" anime it could be THE best ECCHI anime ever made, "Xebec"( To Love-Ru, Love Hina ) made this series as enjoyable as possible, meaning you won't be bored with all the mischief going on in each episode, the characters, backgrounds, the superb and well rendered animation, light and shadow effects are as detail as something that I've never see before specially for this type of anime, if you are into Harem-anime then you already know that most of them have bad quality and animation.
